Today we enjoy the beautiful backyard scene from Anna C. This sanctuary space for her is certainly a place that declares the "glorious splendor" of God's presence in our world. If you have a place you would like to share and are willing to read a psalm in that space, give us a call. We'd love to find a way to celebrate God's Word in your space too. Sometimes simplicity is best ... where is it that we have gone in our lives to hear the Word? Where is it that we are faced with the challenging and comforting story of God as it has been heard throughout time? Where is it that we have celebrated the different passages of our lives? If you have not done some of those things sitting before a simple cross in a simple church and felt the profound depth of God's mystery in your life, I encourage you to find a time to do that. If you have, then this simple image needs no explanation as we seek God's ordering of our "footsteps" this day.
How do we look for reassurance of God's care for us today? What does it mean to be taught to live on God's pathway and not our own? Is that where we are to find reassurance? Next Sunday our Psalm for the day is Psalm 86. May these words speak to you along your pathway as you are invited onto God's.
