"Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom; your dominion endures throughout all ages."
It is hard not to see God's reign move on and on in the world when regarding your children. As we were riding out on this beautiful day on this beautiful trail, God's kingdom was so apparent. May it show forth in your life this day too. (Yes, I am away on vacation this week but recorded and scheduled this before I left.)
(Side note: My kids asked if we were going to video on the trail where I saw Jesus! Which is a reference to my sermon at the end of April when I was walking along the road to Emmaus. I just thought that was cute - "Is this the road where you saw Jesus?")
"Happy are the people who know the festal shout!"
When I heard those words I couldn't help but imagine these little guys who give a shout every time I see them. I know, I know, that is because they are warning of the big guy in the helmet on his bike taking a video of them BUT I couldn't help but imagine them when I heard about the "festal shout." May you give a shout this day as you "daily rejoice" in God's name. Blessings.
The sunny morning has given way to cloudy and overcast skies. Today I take you out in a boat with 2-3 foot swells and together we experience the "torrent of waters" the psalmist speaks of. Truthfully, it was a bit more than I, we (my family went along) bargained for in our short 17 foot Cris Craft boat. We were glad to get back to the safety of land ... maybe the psalmist was longing for safety as well ... maybe we all are. Blessings to you.
